Privacy Policy

Effective August 3, 2026 · Version 1.0

ChurchCreate is operated by Church Media Company LLC, a Utah limited liability company ("ChurchCreate," "we," "us"). This policy explains what information we collect when you use churchcreate.com and the ChurchCreate service, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions are always welcome at hello@churchcreate.com.

1. Information we collect

  • Account information: your name, email address, and login credentials.
  • Church profile and brand: your church's name, brand colors, fonts, logos, and other assets you upload. If you point us at your church's website, we fetch its public content to learn your brand.
  • Design content: what you tell us during design intake (sermon and series titles, event details, requested text) and the designs the Service generates for you.
  • Style preferences: your style quiz answers and signals from how you use the Service (which designs you pick, regenerate, or download) that build your church's taste profile.
  • Billing information: your plan and subscription status. Payments are processed by Stripe; your card details never touch our servers.
  • Usage and device data: app interactions, pages visited, and technical data like browser type and IP address, collected through the analytics tools described in section 5.
  • Waitlist and marketing data: the email address and church name you give us when joining the waitlist or opting in to marketing email.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • generate designs and personalize them to your church;
  • operate, secure, and improve the Service;
  • process payments and manage your subscription;
  • send transactional messages about your account and, only if you opted in, marketing email you can unsubscribe from anytime;
  • understand how the product is used so we can make it better.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. AI and your data

The Service uses AI models from third-party providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google) to generate designs and text. Your intake descriptions, brand details, and reference designs are sent to these providers to fulfill your requests under API terms that prohibit them from training their models on your content.

Your church-identifiable content is used to personalize your own account. De-identified signals, like which styles get picked most, help us improve the Service for everyone.

Designs generated on plans that participate in the community project library may be featured for other churches to use, as described in our Terms of Service. Your account details and uploaded brand assets are not shared beyond what appears in the design itself.

4. Sensitive and religious content

Serving churches means the content you provide can reflect religious beliefs and affiliation. We treat it as content to process on your behalf, not data to profile people with. You are responsible for having permission to submit any information about identifiable people.

5. Analytics, error monitoring, and cookies

We use session cookies to keep you signed in. We also use PostHog for product analytics (which pages and features are used, so we can improve them) and Sentry for error monitoring (technical reports when something breaks). We do not use advertising cookies or sell data to ad networks.

6. Service providers

We share data with service providers only so they can perform services for us, and only what each needs:

  • Supabase: database, authentication, and file storage
  • Vercel: application hosting
  • Stripe: payment processing and billing
  • Anthropic: AI text generation (design intake and direction)
  • OpenAI: AI image generation
  • Google: AI image generation
  • Cloudflare: file storage and delivery of design assets
  • Resend: transactional email
  • ActiveCampaign: marketing email (with your consent)
  • Inngest: background job processing
  • PostHog: product analytics
  • Sentry: error monitoring

Your data is stored in the United States. We may also disclose information if required by law, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (in which case this policy continues to apply to it).

7. Data retention and deletion

We keep your information while your account is active. If you close your account or ask us to delete your data, we delete or de-identify it within a reasonable period, except records we need to keep for legal or accounting purposes (such as billing records) and designs already shared to the community library as described in the Terms.

8. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, or withdraw marketing consent, by emailing hello@churchcreate.com. We honor these requests regardless of where you live.

9. Children

The Service is for adults (18+) acting for their church or organization, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Security

We protect your information with measures including encrypted connections, authenticated access, and per-church data isolation. No online service can promise perfect security, but we work to keep your data safe and will notify you of any breach as required by law.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; updates are identified by the version number and effective date above. For material changes we will give notice through the Service or by email.
