Inspiration: Three Light-Years Tall

Posted by Tom on Apr 30, 2010

Inspiration can be found almost anywhere – cityscapes, music videos, seat belts, and even places like, y’know, space.

And I found one in particular that’s really captured my attention and has gotten me inspired.

Check this out…

Hubble acquired an amazing photograph of the Carina Nebula.

Perhaps amazing is an understatement: the vertical line running up the middle of the nebula is the creation of new stars and the three pillars of gas are roughly three light-years tall.

Epic!

I’ll be the first to admit that humans create amazing stuff, but when I see stuff like this I’m reminded just how creative He continues to be.

  1. So very cool. I want warp drive now so I can go this sort of thing in person.

  2. My website design feels small compared to a 3 light-year swirly cloud :)

    • I would say it’s not but … it is ;) .

  3. Epic Indeed!

Hey we should take an 8Bit trip to watch one of the last three launches. You guys would probably appreciate it more than my wife would. Anyone interested?
