  1. I’m sure youversion will be on the scene before long.

The Digerati team from Lifechurch.tv will be first on the scene, either with youversion or a lifechurch.tv app. Those guys are brilliant and are always developing something massively cool.

    • we’ll see. i bet terry and his team are already thinking.

      • John, it looks like something is wrong with the PSD download link.

  3. Pro Presenter control on the iPad – yay.
    Sermon outline manager

    • that would be awesome.

      • imagine my pastor or even Andy with an iPad on stage; ‘swiping’ his hand across to change pages then a wifi link used for the producer to send certain messages?

    • Aside from a really good Bible app, I think a powerful sermon app would be a hit. In fact, if someone created an app that’s a mix between what Seth Godin talks about here (http://goo.gl/7bVa) and something akin to the YouVersion Bible app, every pastor in America would salivate.

      • i would buy it. sign me up.

      • As Seth Godin said in that post, an app like that would be worth the $500 purchase price of an ipad.

I completely agree. And if it was integrated with padversion (get it?) or some other Bible app….

  4. Stage Time would be cool as an iPad app! Here’s a link: http://tastefulworks.com/stage-time

  5. Church management software would be pretty rocking. Being able to check-in kids, add information on the spot at welcome spaces, and easy immediate sign ups. I could be really killer… or maybe I am just geeking out…

  6. I just posted my own thoughts on this on my blog – How the iPad Will Change the Church. Created a real quick mockup of what I think could be a great iPad app for worship leaders.

You guys looking for guest article writers at all – I’d love to contribute if you are. ;)

    • Yes, we are! Look for the link on the footer.

My bet is that Mars Hill Seattle will be early on the scene. Ive heard logos is working on one.
I think Accordance would make a killer app.

    • very true. they’ve done some neat stuff before.

  8. The Bible is a given, but I’d hope they draw inspiration from the iBook format of page flicking and layout… don’t just slaughter the whole screen with text.

Behind that- it will be interesting to watch the ProPresenter and sound console companies to see how creative they can get.

I’d also hope that if a sound company were to produce a high-end app, perhaps they could produce a ‘Lite’ version with 1 or 2 channels for the smaller churches?

    • Also – I wouldn’t rely to heavily on that PSD. It’s been shown to be missing substantial elements, as well as entirely made-up ones.

      Wait for v2.0.
